Yes, it is possible to transfer the configuration from your current setup to the new RAID 1 setup without starting from scratch.
Backup Configuration:
First, log into your TerraMaster NAS with the current single drive.
Go to the Control Panel.
Navigate to "System Settings" > "Backup & Restore".
Use the option to "Backup Configuration" and save the configuration file to a safe location on your computer.
Remove Old Drive and Insert New Drives:
Power down your NAS and remove the old drive.
Insert the two new WD Red Pro 4TB drives into the NAS.
Power up the NAS.
Initialize New Drives:
Log into your NAS. Since it’s the first time with the new drives, you may need to initialize them.
Follow the setup wizard to initialize the new drives. When prompted, choose to configure them in RAID 1.
Restore Configuration:
After the initial setup and RAID 1 configuration, log into your NAS.
Go back to the Control Panel.
Navigate to "System Settings" > "Backup & Restore".
Use the option to "Restore Configuration" and upload the configuration file you backed up earlier.
Verify Settings:
Verify that all your user accounts, remote access settings, applications, and other configurations have been restored correctly.
You may need to reinstall or reconfigure some applications depending on how the restoration process works with your specific NAS model.
Check RAID Status: snow rider
Ensure that the RAID 1 array is healthy and that the drives are synchronizing correctly.
You can usually monitor the RAID status from the NAS management interface.
