Initialization • F2-221 not connecting to LAN

My F2-221, which has been working solidly for a couple of years, has just dropped off my network and will now not reboot fully.

I have plugged an HDMI into the back and I can see it all starting up, but then the drives whirr down and it just sits there seemingly stuck on a line about clearing a quotacheck.
I can't access the web interface, i can't access the drives over smb, my router displays it as not on the network at all.

HOWEVER, i tried following along the steps from viewtopic.php?t=423 and it gets slightler weird.

1. Turn off your TNAS device - ok
2. Remove all hard drives - ok
3. Turn on your TNAS - ok
4. Wait about 2 minutes, after the network light is on, use TNAS PC to search for your TNAS device; - The NAS beeps loudly 3 times after a few seconds, the network light is flashing, but the NAS still does not show as being on the network.
The last line of startup it sits on when doing this is: "udhcpc: no lease, forking to background"
TNAS PC says it cannot find a TNAS on the network, but when i press search i can see on the monitor that a bunch of back and forth happens and is exited. The messaging I can see on the NAS side though is for an IP 1 place different to the one that it has been assigned, but trying to access that doesn't work any better. My thought here though is that the NAS clearly is on the network since it I can see it responding to network traffic.

Is this a NAS problem or has my network gone screwy on me? How do i reinstate a TNAS that refuses to come online?
