Virtual Machines • Virtualbox Windows 11 pro - Audio / Sound passthrough to Host PC

Hi guys, (this is my second issue post for today)

I am running a virtualbox VM of Windows 11 pro on my F4-424max running TOS6.
My main goal is to replace my 2nd physical Windows 11 PC.
From my main Windows 10 PC - used for daily work - I access the VM with Windows Remote Desktop Tool which is basically running fine.
All devices sit in a high speed LAN.

My issue:
As I want to run the VM as a replacement of a physical PC I need audio/sound passing through to the host PC that is running the remote session.

What I have done so far is

• I configured the host PC remote desktop app so that sound can be received and played

• On the VM Windows I configured: Windows Services / Windows Audio / Startup type = Automatic

• On the VM Windows I configured: Windows Group Policy / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Remote Desktop Services / Remote Desktop Session Host / Device and Resource Redirection / Allow Audio and video playback redirection = enabled

This made the loudspeaker icon in task bar visible and configurable. But no sound on host PC.
I recognized that videos played directly on TOS6 are played but as well do not pass through the sound. Although this is not my use case (I am using PLEX) it would be great to know if sound in this scenario can be enabled as well.

Does anyone saw same issue and found a resolution of it? Great if you can share...
