I think I may have the answer to this, strangely I thought I had previously updated the unit so it had the required 8 gig partition however when I looked it was only 2 gig, but it was running the 5.1.67 and then 5.1.79 updates and working fine, I then tried to update to the 5.1.95 update, and it was then that the lights turned red so maybe down to the incorrect partition size.An incredible and unheard of situation.Did you say that even if TNAS is running normally, the hard drive light will still be red?Perhaps some unknown reasons have caused the problem. You can provide a system report to the customer service or technical support email on the official website homepage for inspection.
