Is it possible to take a working drive from a Terramaster NAS into a D4-300 DAS and be able to access existing files?

Technically, yes.

You'll need whichever OS you'll be attaching the enclosure to, to have support for both BTRFS and EXT4 file systems (those are what TOS would be using internally) to be able to read them in its existing state; if you don't have that, then using a live Linux distro would allow you to mount the enclosure & have access.
