Applicable Models: TNAS models with 4 or more drive bays
Applicable Version: TOS 6.x
Preface: Please note that your current TRAID array must contain at least 3 disks to perform this migration. Follow the steps based on the number of disks with the highest capacity in your array.
I. If the Array Contains 3 or More Disks of the Same Maximum Capacity
Steps:
1. Insert New Disk: Add a new disk with a capacity equal to or greater than the current maximum capacity disk.
2. Array Migration: Edit the storage pool and select "Online Array Migration."
II. If the Array Contains 2 Disks of the Same Maximum Capacity
Steps:
1. Insert New Disks: Add 2 new disks, each with a capacity equal to or greater than the current maximum capacity disk.
2. Add Disk to Array: Edit the storage pool, select one of the new disks, and choose "Add Disk to Array."
3. Array Migration: After synchronization is complete, edit the storage pool again, select the remaining new disk, and choose "Online Array Migration."
III. If the Array Contains Only 1 Disk of the Maximum Capacity
Steps:
1. Insert New Disks: Add 3 new disks with the same capacity as the current maximum capacity disk.
2. Add Disk to Array: Edit the storage pool, select one of the new disks, and choose "Add Disk to Array."
3. Add Another Disk to Array: After synchronization is complete, repeat the previous step.
4. Array Migration: Once synchronization is complete, edit the storage pool, select the final new disk, and choose "Online Array Migration."

III. If the Array Contains Only 1 Disk of the Maximum Capacity
Steps:
1. Insert New Disks: Add 3 new disks with the same capacity as the current maximum capacity disk.
2. Add Disk to Array: Edit the storage pool, select one of the new disks, and choose "Add Disk to Array."
3. Add Another Disk to Array: After synchronization is complete, repeat the previous step.
4. Array Migration: Once synchronization is complete, edit the storage pool, select the final new disk, and choose "Online Array Migration."
